I would like to express our heartfelt condolences to those left behind but in the same breathe express celebration for Uncle Butch's life and now freedom from pain and suffering. I wanted to share a memory from when I was in middle school and had the most interaction with Uncle Butch... every day after I got out of school I walked what seemed like 20 minutes to where he was living in Niceville. He was nice enough to let me crash there until mom got off of work and could come get me. I remember walking in his house and every day it was so clean and so organized. Everything had its place and everything was put away. The first week I had drank a soda or ate something because I was starving after school and he said something about it the next week that he didn't care if I did buy just clean up after myself. I had thought I did a good job cleaning up but it was like Uncle Butch was a super detective or something that could see the slightest changes in his surroundings like Shelock Holmes. From then on it became a game, a challenge, a daily goal to try and leave it to where he wouldn't know if I had been there that day. Looking back now I realize how much that little bit of discipline has made me a better observer of my surroundings in life and everything I do. So to that, I thank you Uncle Butch, and I know I will tell all about it when I see you again...

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy to the family for the loss of your dear Butch. I hope that you will find comfort in the words of Jesus at John 5:28,29 where he promised that the day is coming when he is going to resurrect back to life those in the grave. Until then, it is just like they are sleeping. (John 11:11-13) May your family draw strength from Jehovah, the God of all Comfort.

Butch was a wonderful person. He was kind, smart and easy to talk. We shared a few hours at his house discussed our shared health issues. I always enjoyed working with Butch and he was very dedicated to quality of his work. He loved his family and expressed that in many of our conversations. I moved from the area but his friendship is something I will miss dearly. My condolences to his family as I know it is difficult but they and Butch are in my prayers.
