Mr. Kenneth Eugene Mundy, age 50 passed away unexpectedly on March 30, 2014.  Ken was born to Edward and Peggy Mundy in Bangkok, Thailand on September 11, 1963.

Ken graduated from Choctaw High School in 1981.Ken graduated from the University of South Florida in 1987 and quickly found a job serving our country as an Electrical engineer for the Civil Service.  He worked on many interesting projects at FMS in Robin AFB and the 53rd Wing, 46 TWS and SPO at Eglin AFB. He developed many lasting friendships with his co-workers and will be dearly missed.  Ken loved technical gadgets, with a particular fondness for all things Apple.  He thoroughly enjoyed his motorcycle and was a certified motorcycle safety instructor.  He was a recipient of the Iron Butt award for having covered 1000 miles in 24 hours.  He often took week-long journeys discovering our beautiful country, particularly through our many State and National Parks.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Manivanh; a son, Andrew Mundy of San Francisco, CA and a daughter, Michelle Mundy of Fort Walton Beach, FL.  He was extremely proud of the two outstanding young adults they have become.  He is also survived by his three brothers, Lawrence Mundy (Debbie) of Shalimar, FL; Stephen Mundy (Sara) of Knoxville, TN and Robert Mundy (Klaire) of Roanoke, VA.  He leaves behind Mr.& Mrs. Somchith, his wife’s parents, who he was very close to.  Also left behind are 3 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law along with a number of nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 6:00-8:00p.m at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Rd FWB. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00p.m on Friday April 4, 2014 at Shalimar United Methodist, 1 Old Ferry Road Shalimar FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to either P.A.W.S. or S.O.C.K.S. to support neglected and injured animals, another passion Ken held."
