Tom dedicated almost his entire life to his country and to the United States Air Force Disaster Preparedness / Emergency Management profession. He was always the voice of reason, knowledge and experience. He provided us guidance and wisdom when many of us could not come to consensus on an issue. Tom left an impression on everyone who met him and will always be remembered by those who truly knew him. He will be missed.

Our prayers are with him and his family.

Tom and I served together at Torrejon Air Base in the late '70s. He was the adult leadership for the rest of the NCOs - very knowledgeable in his job. We went out on a number of official travels together and socialized together many times. Tom was always up for a great time, and I enjoyed his friendship very much. He was undoubtedly an icon of the Disaster Preparedness career field!
