Robert Jonke, 73, of Shalimar, Florida, went to be with the Lord on December 7th, 2017.  He was born January 1, 1944 to Leopold and Magdalena Jonke in Lichtenbach, Yugoslavia.  Robert came to Denver, Colorado as an 8-year-old immigrant who created a legacy of hard work and determination while building a successful construction company; RJCB, Inc. (Robert Jonke Custom Builders) which was started in 1977 in Farmington, New Mexico.  He was also a concrete contractor with another company he started in 1980, Bell Concrete Company. Robert also served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War as a medical corpsman.  He gave his family a well above average life coming from nothing.  There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do with his hands.  On November 10, 1973 he married Sue Ann Reno in Golden, Colorado.  Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, motorcycling, and general contracting.  In 1985, Robert and family moved to Shalimar, Florida where he continued RJCB, Inc.  He was preceded in death by his father Leopold Jonke and brother Albert Jonke.  He leaves behind his wife of 44 years (Sue); two daughters, Charmaine Howlett (Jody) Heather Snyder (Michael) and two sons Daniel Jonke (Kelly), Eric Granger (Christina); his mother Magdalena Jonke, one sister Mary Robinette (Jerry),  three brothers, Herbert Jonke (Jackie),  Fred Jonke (Samantha) and John Jonke (Denise); grandchildren, Haleigh Lovato, Ashleigh Lovato, Tylan Lovato, Delaney Howlett, Grant Snyder, Madison Snyder, McKenna Snyder, Gavin Snyder, Dylan Nagore, Dace Jonke, Addilyn Jonke, Deagan Jonke, Piper Granger, Alexander Granger, as well as, many nieces, nephews and other relatives.  There will be a time of visitation held from 6-7 PM on Friday, December 15, 2017, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7 PM with Pastor Russell Hughes officiating.
