Nona “Faye” Lucas, age 84, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL passed away on January 19, 2018 and was born on January 16, 1934 to parents, John Porter and Alma Jewel Stanley.  Faye is predeceased by her parents and son, Charles Marion; sisters; Flora Broom, Ouida Smith, and Ima Jean Boggs.  She is survived by her husband, Charles Lucas and son Chad Lucas; sisters and brothers; Marjorie Spurlin, Von Stanley, Henton Stanley and Joyce Snell.  Faye had numerous accomplishments throughout her life.  She received two Bachelor degrees; one in business management at the University of West Florida and the other from Christian Life School of Theology, Abundant Life Church.  She was also a budget analysist and accounting technician at Eglin AFB., retiring after 36 years of civil service.  Faye was the ABWA Women of the year 1990 and an active volunteer in her church.  A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at Emerald Coast Church AG, 117 Jonquil Ave., Ft. Walton Beach, FL.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place at Beal Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 7th floor, N.Y., N.Y. 10001 (alzfdn.org).
