Curt Eddings, age 72, of Mary Esther, FL, passed away on April 23, 2017, after a long 10-year battle recovering from a massive stroke. He was born to Thilbert Eddings and Flora Parker on December 25, 1944, in Baltimore, MD.
Curt will be remembered for being a loving and hard-working husband, father, and grandfather. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years, mostly in the Combat Camera squadron and as a Photojournalist. After his retirement from the military, he began his photography business, Curtis Allen Photography, which thrived for 12 years in the panhandle area. Curt was an incredibly kind-hearted and generous man whose love for his family and determination to provide for them was the reason for his tireless hard work. His quick-witted sense of humor and magnanimous smile always lit up a room. He will be greatly missed.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Curt is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Yoshie Eddings, two sons Jeff Eddings and Cris Eddings, daughter-in-law Sarah Eddings, three grandchildren Casey Eddings, Brady Eddings, and Derek Eddings, brothers Bruce Eddings and Bart Eddings, and sisters Margaret Stoops and Flora Bennett.
A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 29, at 12:00 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Interment with full military honors will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola on Tuesday, May 2, at 9:30 AM.
