Joanie, I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing, but rejoice with you that she met her parents at the gates of heaven! Your tribute to her is absolutely beautiful and straight from your heart. Her passion in caring for others was very evident to us in the days immediately following our first visit to Oakland Assembly of God way back in the early 90's. Within about two days of us visiting the church, your mom was at our doorstep delivering a delicious homemade chocolate cake to us! What a wonderful surprise to us, but very much a part of your mom's character. (And what a beautiful picture of your mom! You look so very much like her!)
Jake, what an amazing love story between you and Brenda! And what a wonderful example you gave Joanie so she knew what to look for in a husband. I'm sure you'll miss Brenda deeply, but know that she lives on, not just eternally in heaven, but in the lives of Joanie and the rest of your family. I'm sure her life touched so many!

My thoughts are with my family right now. I wish I could be there with you all to say goodbye to Aunt Brenda. Uncle Jake, Joanie and Jenni we love you to the moon and back...hugs from across the pond for all of you and the rest of the family. She was an amazing lady who will be missed dearly. ❤️ you Aunt Brenda...until we meet again.
