William Blanchard Harris

William Blanchard Harris, age 81, passed away on January 23, 2019.  He was born in Miami, FL to parents, Herman C. and Blanche Harris.  Bill was a fighter pilot in the United States Air Force and retired as a Lt. Col after serving 20 years.  Missions were his passion and Camellias were his hobby. Bill was also an entrepreneur owning several business, creating opportunities for young people.  Bill is predeceased by his parents and son in law, Kevin O’Brien.  He is survived by his wife, Beryl Harris; sons, Neil (Phyllis) Swanson, Eric (Cathy) Swanson, Jeff (Jan) Swanson and Jeff Harris; daughters, Nancy O’Brien and Heidi Harris; brothers, Jerry (Berta) Harris and Jim (Rosemary) Harris; sister, Delores (Joe) Carson and numerous loving grandchildren, nieces & nephews.  The family would like to thank all health care providers for the excellent care he received.  A visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Jesse Rogers Memorial Cemetery in Mary Esther, FL.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800
