Tribute

Wayne Thomas Boyette, age 77, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019.  He was born July 18, 1941 in Florala, AL to the late Bruce & Cleo Boyette.

Wayne graduated from Laurel Hill High School and attended Troy State & FSU.  He married Jane Eleazer Boyette on December 26, 1993.  Wayne was an entrepreneur and developer in the local area.  He was involved in many local and state organizations.  Wayne was an active member of St. Simon’s Episcopal Church and the Brotherhood of St. Andrews.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman.  Nothing made him happier than having Janie by his side while entertaining family and friends at the beach, the farm at Laurel Hill and his Choctaw River place. He was always honest and fair in his dealings and those blessed enough to have known him knew he was a wonderfully generous man.

Wayne was always willing and ready whenever called upon.  One of his favorite quotes was, “The early bird gets the worm.” This will be a great legacy for all those he leaves behind.

The world is a better place for having known Wayne Thomas Boyette.

Wayne is survived by the love of his life, wife, Jane Eleazer Boyette; his children, Wayne “Wally” Boyette, Jr., Benjamin (Danielle) Boyette, Sam Nash and Anna Nash; his brother, Grady Boyette; his grandchildren, Bruce Boyette, Tyler (Hayley) Boyette, Brielle Boyette, Bradley Boyette, Lawton Nash and Chap Nash; his great grandchildren, Mason Scroggins and Ellie Boyette.
