Vincent G Flores, Sr

Vincent G. Flores, Sr passed away the morning of May 28, 2018 at Westwood Nursing Facility. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 19, 1929 and married Theresa Gunreben December 28, 1948. He is preceded in death by his wife Theresa Flores, parents; John and Helen Flores and youngest son Richard Flores. He is survived by 3 sons, Vincent (Nina) Flores of Ft Walton Beach, Fl, Donald (Kathy) Flores of Austin, TX, George (Ginny) Flores of Ft. Walton Beach, and daughter Barbara (Miguel) Correa of Ft. Walton Beach and granddaughter Sarena Correa; his sister in law Rose and nephew Eric (Helen) Harris both of Ft. Walton Beach; also 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.He served in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1950 where he was an electrician’s mate. He served aboard the USS Huntinton. After the Navy he went to work for Republic Aircraft where he tested the F-105 Thunderchief at Eglin Air Force Base. He then started his own electrical business ( Arcon Electric) and worked it till his retirement.He served as the VFW commander for the local VFW in the 70s. He was also a lifetime member of the Gem and Mineral Society of Fort Walton Beach. Spend many years teaching silver casting at the William Holland School of Lapidary in Young Harris. Ga. Family will receive friends Friday, June 1 ,2018 at 11:00 a.m for viewing and  12:00 p.m service at Emerald Coast Funeral Home 161 Racetrack Rd N.E. Ft. Walton Bch, Fl 32547.
