Tribute

Tyler Brent Wages passed away suddenly July 12, 2018, he was 23. Tyler was born March 8, 1995 to parents Jason Wages & Denise Fuller and was welcome home by his brother Chase Wages.Tyler spent most of his life here in Fort Walton Beach, but also loved to spend time in Alabama with his family there. He attended Choctaw and Votech and enjoyed studying auto mechanics, something you could tell by the number of trucks he seemed to constantly repairing and the oil stains on every t-shirt he owned. Tyler loved the outdoors, and whether it be in the water, on the beach, or in the woods, he was most at home in nature. He was probably happiest covered in mud in his truck, somewhere out in the woods with his friends.Tyler’s greatest love was saved for his family and his friends. The bond he and his father, Jason Wages shared was the type most fathers only dream of having. He adored and loved his mother Denise Fuller, as every son has that unconditional love for his mom. Tyler and his brother Chase shared a loyalty & love that only brothers can know. Tyler’s little sister River Goodwin gave him the chance to be a protective big brother, a role he truly loved. He was lucky enough to grow up with both sets of grandparents most of his life. Tyler was the type of young man who checked in on them when he could, loved to spend time with them and gave them the respect they deserved. But to Tyler, if you were a friend, then you were family to him too. It did not matter if he had known you since grade school, worked on the docks with you, or met you two days ago- he made you feel like family. Tyler will be most remembered for his thoughtful caring heart and genuine sweetness. He was truly that guy who would give you the shirt off his back and his very last dollar if he thought it would help you. He was respectful and kind, honest and true and he was far too young to leave us. He will be greatly missed by his family and his family of friends.Tyler is survived by his parents, Jason Wages and Denise Fuller, a brother Chase Wages and wife Megan Wages, sister River Goodwin, grandfathers Doug Wages and Gene Fuller, uncles Brandon Wages and Steven Fuller, his Aunt Patty Fuller, cousins Shelby Wages, Jordan Church, Justin Hulsey, Seth Fuller and Dillon Fuller. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Dena Wages and Janet Fuller.
