Thomas A. Fleck, Jr., age 93, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on 5/10/2018. Tom, born in Philadelphia, PA, a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with 30 years of active service, fought in three wars: World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Thomas was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star and eight air medals piloting B-24s in the South Pacific and C-123 in Vietnam. Tom was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman. A true warrior, a true sportsman and a true gentleman, Tom will be missed by many.
Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Bonnie Bell Fleck of Wayne County, Mississippi. He is survived by his nephew, Charles L. Bell (Nancy) of Laurel Mississippi and nieces, Sally Mackay (Peter) and Lynn Rice (Don) of Southern California.
A funeral service will be held on 5/14/2018, at 2:00 pm, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road, N.W., Fort Walton Beach. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Internment will take place at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida on 5/16/2018 at 1:00 pm.
