Terence Michael Arthurs

Terence Michael Arthurs (Mike), 81, passed away on March 28, 2020 at his home in Mary Esther, FL with his two daughters at his side. Mike was born in Dundalk, Ireland on August 8, 1938 where he lived until leaving for London, England as a young boy. Mike began his career as a seaman when he was a young man and traveled the world on many different ships. Mike was in the Merchant Marine and retired after over 20 years with Exxon Shipping Company. Mike lived in Solsberry, Indiana for 31 years with his beloved wife, June. In August 2019, Mike moved to Mary Esther, FL with his little buddy Charlie, a rambunctious Yorkshire Terrier. Mike was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, living every day for his family. Mike was a parishioner at St John the Apostle Catholic Church, Bloomington, IN and Saint Mary Catholic Church, Fort Walton Beach, FL.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years and love of his life, June Ann, parents Peter and Margaret Arthur, brothers Gerry and Brian and sister, Mary. He is survived by his daughter Michaela (John) and Melanie (Cameron), grandchildren Edgar (Megan), Abigail (Daniel), Amelia and Isabelle and great grandchildren Marcella Rose and Marlee June. Michaela and Melanie would like to thank the 4th floor nurses at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, Emerald Coast Cancer Center, and 21st Century Oncology. A special thank you to Covenant Care Hospice for the compassion and care you gave Mike during his final days. Services will be private.
