Tasia M. Smego

Tasia M. Smego, age 24, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Tasia was born on January 2, 1996 to mother, Aleta C. Smego in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Tasia was a graduate of Altoona Area High School.  She attended Community College of Beaver County, where she earned her Associate Degree for Registered nursing.  Tasia was also working towards her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. After graduating she proudly worked at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Network, where she learned that “The care of the people came first”.  She took that lesson whole-heartedly throughout her healthcare career.  Tasia’s love of taking care of the elderly made her even more special. Tasia’s passion in life was her ability to get up and just decide to go to concerts, her big playground New York City and beautiful, Hawaii.  Her joy in life was spending time with her pets and family and relaxing at the beach. 

She is survived by her mother, Aleta Smego; step-mother, Stacie Wond; aunt, Marika Smego; grandfather, Michael Smego; and grandmother, Kitty Smego.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be conducted on Thursday, February, 20, 2020 from 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
