Tribute

On March 15, 2021, Talmage S. Adams, age 88 better known as Tommy Adams to all his family, friends and acquaintances, passed away in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

He was born in Osaka, Virginia on March 13, 1933 to Floyd and Virginia Seabolt Adams.

He moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1951, where he met his wife, Marilyn.  They were marred on November 16, 1956 in Detroit, and spent the next 64 years, of having been able to grow old together.

They had one son, David Adams, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

In 1960, moved to Northern Virginia and began a career as a Federal Correctional Officer. 

Through the years, he worked at Larton, Virginia, Ashland, Kentucky and Eglin Federal Prison Camp, retiring from there in 1983.

Tommy loved being a handy man, working on his lawn, and very interested in politics and discussing the happenings of the world.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Betty Adkins of Wyoming.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, David and daughter-in-law, Lexy Adams, all of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; brother, John Adams, Danville, Kentucky; sister, Jean Turner of Dayton, Ohio.

David & I would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the ER, ICU, and fourth floor nurses and doctors at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for all their care that they gave him.

Memorial services will be Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.  Private graveside burial will follow the service.
