Susanna "Susie" L. Lambert

Susanna (“Susie”) L. Lambert, 89, of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Lambert; her parents James Paton Livingston and Lillie Frances Cole; her sisters Prudence Fulton and Mary Frances as well as her brothers James K Livingston, Calvin Coolidge Livingston, and Kenneth Livingston.  Susanna is survived by her son Alan Wade Lambert (wife Amy); daughter Barbara Anita Lambert Condon (husband Ashley); granddaughters Faith Vanessa Condon and Bryttani Regina-Ashley Condon; grandson Grant Rivard; sisters Joyce Dees and Hazel Ruf, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Born in Dixon, Mississippi on June 5, 1932, she was the last of eight children.  Susie was a devout believer and worshipped her Lord in a variety of churches across the world as she and her military husband enjoyed various duty stations. She has been a dedicated member of the Hurlburt Field Chapel since 1973.  Susie always enjoyed helping out others, whether at her children’s school or with the young airmen or families that had transferred into the air force bases where her husband was stationed.  Susie spent years volunteering at the Hurlburt Field Airman & Family Readiness Center.  She lived a life of thoughtfulness and selfless service to others that can best be described by Capt. Scott O’Grady’s quote “It wasn’t the reward that mattered or the recognition you might harvest.  It was your depth of commitment, your quality of service, the product of your devotion – these were the things that counted in a life.  When you gave purely, the honor came in the giving, and that was honor enough.”  Dedicated to her family and friends, she could always be counted on help out where needed, and kept a kind word for everyone.  Susie will always be remembered as a strong and fiercely independent woman that passed her strength and knowledge on to her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  The family welcomes visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on Friday July 30th, with service at 11:00 a.m. and burial to follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery, alongside her husband.
