Stephen Lange of Navarre, Florida, formerly an Atlanta, Ga native, slipped the bounds of this earth on Monday, November 9th. He was 66. Steve was born to Harry and Lois Lange and was the youngest of 5 siblings. He attended Cross Keys High School in Atlanta, Ga. Steve was a devout Catholic and an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Parish in Navarre. Steve was an avid golfer, baseball enthusiast, Elvis fan and collector throughout his life. Steve greatly enjoyed coaching youth baseball, along with his brothers and he devoted his life to caring for his mother and father. He passed along his love of baseball card collecting to his nephews, nieces and great-nephews, ensuring a new generation of collectors with a deep appreciation of the game and players. He is dearly loved as a son, husband, brother, and uncle. Steve is survived by his wife Rose, his mother Lois Lange, siblings John (Debra) Lange, Robert (Margaret) Lange, Deborah (Randy) Tippin and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Lange, and brother, Allen Lange. In lieu of flowers, play a round of golf and celebrate life in Steve’s honor.
Memorial services will be Friday, December 4, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach with Ft. Doug Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery.
