Sondra Pittman Readett

We invite you to join the family as we celebrate the life of Sondra Pittman Readett, age 58, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, who passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 7, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held following the funeral service at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia, Alabama. 

Sondra was born in Andalusia, Alabama on December 7, 1962. She graduated from Andalusia High School and continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in health care. After school she moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida where she married. Her son, Joshua Keith Williams, was born in Fort Walton Beach on September 22, 1993.  Sondra worked for many years with the elderly in the healthcare profession. She met many wonderful friends as she served at Westwood, Brookdale, and became an executive director Superior Residence of Niceville. Most recently, Sondra was recruited to become the Executive Director for Bay Port Assisted Living and Memory Care in Fort Walton Beach. She was looking forward to the upcoming opening of this new gorgeous facility and working with all the wonderful people there.

She is survived by her son, Joshua Keith Williams, and soon to be daughter-in-law, Mattie Thornton. She is also survived by her life partner and friend, Jeff Dalton, and her self-adopted son, Jensen Dalton. She is also survived by her mother, Mattie Hall Watson, her sister, Donna Pittman Mathews, her brother-in-law, Skip Mathews, and her brother, Gary Pittman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many other friends and family.

Thank you for all the prayers and kind expressions of sympathy. It is comforting to know how much she was loved.
