Sara Louise Chapman

The Lord called Sara Chapman home on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the age of 96.  A loving mother of eight children, grandmother of ten, and great-grandmother of thirteen. Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles Richard Chapman, sons Larry and Butch, daughters Linda and Sandy, and great grandson, Bryson. She is survived by her children, Terry Weaver (Lily), Carol Weaver, Rita Bruner, John Chapman (Betsy), but her greatest joy were her grandchildren Steve Weaver, Lisa Parra, Henry Clay White IV, Stephanie White, Charles White, Allison White, Sarah Chapman, Mary Chapman, Carlie Chapman, and James Ruckel, Jr., and 13 great grandchildren who lovingly called her "Bunny." As a military wife, she loved to travel and that ultimately brought her family to Florida.  Warm and caring, she was always the most passionate about her family, whom she loved dearly and unconditionally. For the 25 years Sara worked as the Director of Admissions at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center one could find her there, brightening the room with her smile. She had kind thoughts about everyone, touched the hearts of many, and will be greatly missed. Our sincere gratitude to her home healthcare nurse, Ashley Reeves, who was often thought of as another grandchild. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Destiny Worship Center of Ft. Walton Beach on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 11:00am. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Emerald Coast Funeral Home and Reception Center.
