After a ten year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease and with her son holding her hand, Ruthie J Moore has gone to be with our Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents Reuben and Norrell Cooley of Deer Park, Al, her husband Richard A Moore, sisters Judy and Rubye, and the second love of her life, James McDonald.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Irene Moore, step granddaughters and their spouses, Heather and Charlie Schneider, Jamie and Lance Stratton, step great grandchildren Taylor and Hailey Stratton, by Jim’s children Nancy and Jerome McDonald, as well as her five nieces and one nephew, Julie, Sheila, Christy, Chris, Cathy and Roger.
She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed the great many friends she made in her weekly bridge groups.
The viewing is Tuesday the 23rd at Emerald Coast Funeral Home from 5-7pm. The service will be at Trinity United Methodist Wednesday the 24th at 10am. She will be interred at the Deer Park Cemetery in Deer Park, AL on the 25th at 11am.
