Robert L. (Bob) Trainor, age 80, of Mary Esther passed away on February 21, 2019. He was born to Louis and Emily Trainor in Bailey’s Harbor Wisconsin. He served in the US Air Force for 26 years and was Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the American Legion for 39 years, including stints as District Commander, Department Vice Commander and Adjutant. Bob had a passion for gardening, photography, hunting, fishing, camping and helping those in need. He was predeceased by his parents and loving wife of 48 years, Gudrun R. Trainor. He is survived by his children, Steve Trainor of Ft. Walton Beach, Pat Trainor of Sarasota and Margaret Krafft of Colorado Springs; his brother, Ken Trainor of Milwaukee and sister, Mickie Beno of Green Bay; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the American Legion Post 235, 105 Hollywood Blvd, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32548. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project. He will surely be missed.
