Robert Toner

Robert (Bob) Toner, age 69, of Fort Walton Beach, FL passed away on Tuesday November 24, 2020.  He was born on July 23, 1951 in Williamsport, PA where he graduated from Williamsport High School in 1969, went on to join and serve 20 years in the United States Air Force from 1971-1991, retiring in FWB.  While serving in the USAF, he received many awards and accolades for his honorable service.  He served at stations all over the continental US, along with much of his service spent in the Pacific at Kunsan and Osan Air Bases in South Korea, and Andersen AFB, GUAM.  He knew he wanted to retire near a beach and chose Fort Walton Beach as his home.  After retirement, he owned, ran and operated laundry mats and worked in hotel laundry.  Everyone knew “Mr Bob”.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Warren & Martha; siblings: Jim, Alice, & Perry; his first wife Pong Suk and oldest son Timethy.  He is survived by countless loving friends and family to include his wife Rina, children: Kimberly, Thomas, Dania, Marcia, Challo, & Waleska; grandchildren: Danielle, Susan, Vikki, Chalito, Marcialito, Isabella, & Valentina; siblings: Michael (Toner), Joyce (Toner) Reeder, Dorothy (Toner) Rogers, Rick (Toner) & numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews in Pennsylvania.

Bob, albeit the grumpiest person anyone would ever meet, had a heart of gold and a sense of humor that would brighten anyone’s day.  To say that he will be missed is an understatement. 

Visitation will be 1:00- 2:00 pm  Saturday December 12, 2020 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in FWB, FL . Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. He will later be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.
