Robert Curtis Fish “Papa Tuna”, age 85, of Mary Esther, Florida passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Chester Sims Veterans Home in Panama City, Florida. Robert was born in Whitehall, New York to Curtis and Eva Fish. He attended Whitehall High School and served three years in the National Guard and 20 years in the United States Air Force. After retiring from the military, Robert started Florida Industrial Machinery which employed many in our community. Robert was a long time member of Mary Esther United Methodist Church, a member of the Master Masons, York Rite Hadji Temple, Elks Club, American Legion, and Past President of local VFW club in Mary Esther.
Robert Fish is survived by his wife, Sylvia Fish, of Mary Esther; Children, Debbie (Chris) Guerra, Karen (Glen) Wentworth, Jim (Denise) Fish; 18 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; sister, Beverly LaChapelle; and three nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Patty Fish Hulion.
Robert always had a song in his heart and a smile on his face. He shared his love of God, family and Country with all…….His family would like to thank everyone at the Chester Sims Veterans home for the wonderful care of Robert.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road NW, Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547 followed by a funeral service at 3:30 P.M. Interment will take place on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mary Esther United Methodist Church or any Veteran organization.
