Regina Lynn Walsh

November 21, 1965 ~ October 17, 2021 (age 55) 55 Years Old

Tribute

Regina Lynn Walsh passed peacefully on Sunday morning, October 17, 2021 in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  She was surrounded and loved by her family.  She was born on November 21, 1965 at Eglin AFB.  She was 55.

Regina, a lifelong resident of Fort Walton Beach, had a gift of connecting people together.  She was an inspiring woman with a big heart.  She will always be remembered for her radiating inner light, her friendship, her kindness, and especially her smile.

She actively enjoyed being in nature, around wildlife, and on the water.  Regina lived full of adventure, and to be with her soulmate, her husband, Thomas of 15 years.  Regina spent a few years riding dirt bikes and jet skis, which is how she earned the nickname “JetGirl”.  She had a remarkable way to inspire people to try new things like paddle-boarding, mountain biking, or anything else she happened to be into at the time.

Regina was an incredibly gifted artist from childhood.  She always encouraged and taught her friends, family, and even strangers to create various forms of art using paint, ceramics, concrete, glass, and other mixed media.  She was an active member of the FWB Arts and Design Society (ADSO).  Her most recent passion was teaching her friends how to make “pot-heads”.  These are custom ceramic flowerpots with a sculptured face.

Her career was a Software Engineer for various government contractors and finally as a Civil Service employee with the United States Air Force.   She graduated from Fort Walton Beach HS in 1983 and subsequently earned a computer science degree from Troy State University.

Regina is survived by her husband, Thomas, and her sister Maria, who misses her dearly.  In passing, she has been reunited with her mother, Regina (Jeanie) B. McGrael; her father, Raymond E. Totten Sr.; and her brother, Ray Totten, Jr.

Memorial Services will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home at 2 pm, Tuesday, October 26th.  A casual Celebration of Life will be held at 4 pm at Garniers Beach Park on the same day.
Instead of flowers, Regina requests that each of us take the time to do a few random acts of kindness.  Just ask yourself, what would Regina do?
