Phyllis P Jolly

Phyllis P Jolly, 82, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday morning, May 6, 2018

Born June 6, 1935 in Wadsworth, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John Mark Paul and Pauline Evelyn Moore.

She is survived by her husband, George Strickland Jolly, Jr, in a forever marriage of better than 63 years; two sons, George Jolly, III and his wife, Cynthia of Shalimar, FL, and Bruce Jolly and his wife, Kim of Fort Walton Beach, FL; two sister and a bother; four grandchildren, Bethany, Bo, Luke and Kandace and two great-grandchildren, Ellie and Bryn.

Phyllis had started down the dark path of Alzheimer’s but was still getting around and mostly remembered us when we came in the room. Her health took a sudden plunge a few weeks ago. God was gracious and took her home where there is no more pain or suffering and her memory is clearer than it has ever been. She is a child of God through Jesus and she knew Him well. What a wonderful homecoming it must have been.

She made doll clothes for the girls at church and in the neighborhood. Our house was always full of kids. Phyllis was mom to them all.  Her energy must have been eternal because she just kept giving and giving. She laughed, she smiled, and she loved.  She is with Jesus now probably joking with Him. 

The Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Cinco Baptist Church. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, from 12:30 PM until 1:00 PM at the church with a reception at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, give someone a hug in the name of Phyllis Jolly that is what she would want.
