Pearl E. "Tina" Wells Mock of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, peacefully passed into the Lord's hands on December 27, 2015. Tina, born in Smithdale, Mississippi, to Ernest Tate and Pearl Elaine Weathersby Wells, grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she met and later married her high school sweetheart Loyd Lansing "Lanny" Mock in 1942. After a life in the Air Force, Tina and Lanny chose Fort Walton Beach as their home.
Arriving in Fort Walton Beach in 1962, Tina became active in her church and community. In addition to being a local realtor for Mel Parker Realty and then Sundance Realty, she contributed her time to the Okaloosa Symphony Orchestra Guild and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Additionally, she served as a volunteer at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and as a Blue Jacket at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center. Always keeping God in her life, she was an active member of Shalimar United Methodist Church. Tina truly believed that one should "Love thy neighbor as thy self" and lived her life accordingly.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Lanny, and beloved sister Evelyn Wells Seidule. She is survived by her sister Mitzi, three children, Sterling, Starlyn, and Kerry, seven grandchildren, Delina, Wendy, Tracy, Michael, Michelle, Kevin, and Daniel, as well as ten great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will take place Friday, January 1, from 5-7 P.M. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road NW, Fort Walton Beach. Saturday, January 2, at 2 P.M, a funeral service will be held at the Shalimar United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
