Patricia G. Snyder, 83, of Shalimar, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019. She is survived by her sons Carl E. Snyder Jr., son Christopher F. Snyder, son Patrick K. Snyder, and daughter Patricia V. Snyder. Her husband, Carl E, Snyder Sr., predeceased her in 2003. She was career serviceman’s wife for 28 years, then later had her own career as a teacher’s aide for 13 years at S. S. Dixon Primary, Pace, Florida. Patty loved birds, flowers, gardening, and was an avid reader. An eager birdwatcher, she also had an extensive collection of birdhouses and could identify most local birds by sight. She loved reading, and read fervently in a wide variety of subjects. She also passionately loved to discuss her four children and five grandchildren, and was actively involved in their lives. Patty was well known for her kindness, quiet but endearing demeanor, and being a humble and earnest woman of God. An active member of the Catholic Church for her whole life, Patty quietly espoused the intersection of faith into human lives. She grew up in Mingo Junction, Ohio, and moved to Northwest Florida in 1978, when her husband retired from the U.S. Air Force. She moved to Bob Hope Village in 2007, and then later to The Hawthorn House. Mrs. Snyder will be interred next to her husband Carl in Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Florida, at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction, Ohio at, http://www.stagnesmingo.org/
