Nancy Loose

August 8, 1945 ~ September 6, 2019 (age 74)

Tribute

We lost a beautiful loving wife, mother and grandmother on 6 September 2019 in Shalimar, FL after 2 year illness.

Nancy was born to Lura and Fred Reagan on August 8, 1945 in Cookeville, TN. After WW II the family moved to Knoxville, TN where she graduated from East High School in 1963.  She was an X-ray technician when she met her husband, Lt William Evan Loose. They were married in January 1967 and moved to Big Spring, TX where she continued working in the medical field. They subsequently moved to Riverside, CA in 1968 where their son, Jeffrey Evan Loose was born in 1970. In 1971 the Loose family moved again to Kadena AB, Okinawa followed by a move to Hampton, VA in 1974. It was in Virginia that their daughter, Kristi Noelle Loose was born. In 1976 the family once again moved to San Antonio, TX and Nancy trained to become a color consultant with Color 1 Associates. Their last move came in 1985 to Fort Walton Beach, FL and in 1994 she helped design and decorated their dream home in Shalimar, Fl.

Nancy was very charitable with her time as she often drove cancer patients to appointments, regularly donated blood (even on a cruise when a passenger needed a transfusion) and was on the Board of Directors for the NW Florida Girl Scouts Council. Her many skills included refinishing furniture, designing and making jewelry, gardening and particularly loved decorating their home for the Christmas Season. She was a fitness buff working out at the gym and walking regularly each week, water skied, played tennis for a number of years and was a licensed SCUBA diver.  Very outgoing and sociable, she was a member of several neighborhood and local groups that would gather for social or charitable purposes. Nancy loved to travel and often took trips with her husband or friends to see many of the wonderful sites in our country and the world.

She is survived by her husband; William Evan Loose; her mother; Lura P Reagan; her son and daughter, Jeffrey E Loose and Kristi Noelle Lewis and three grandsons; Wyatt, Hunter and Dakota.

Nancy battled for over two years from a devastating stroke but the heavens wanted her more this time. Her husband was by her side when she passed peacefully.  They had an extremely good marriage for over 52 years. The family would like to thank Debbie, Nancy, Lisa and the Emerald Coast Hospice for all their help and assistance.

We were all blessed to have known her as she touched us all. Her final wish, instead of flowers or donations, is to do a good deed for someone in need. A memorial service will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home gathering at 12:45 PM on 14 Sept 2019, located at 161 Racetrack Rd in Fort Walton Beach (across from Choctaw High School). Dress is casual.
