Nancy Cherniga, age 86, a former 47 yr. resident of Ft. Walton Beach, passed away on 3 Jan 2018 in Tallahassee.  She was born to Lyman and Myra Clark of Falmouth, Ma, on 2 Nov 1931.  Nancy was a loving military wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a giving neighbor and friends to many.  She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Cherniga, USAF, SMsgt (RET).  Nancy is survived by her children, Michael Cherniga (Terry) of Tallahassee, and Col (RET) John Cherniga (Joan) of Satellite Beach; and two grandchildren, Sgt. Patrick Cherniga (USA) of Ft. Shafter, HI and Kara Cherniga Uhl (David) of Seattle, WA.  A funeral Mass will be at St. Mary Catholic Church at noon, Tuesday 9 Jan, where she was a longtime parishioner.  Burial will be held alongside her husband at Beal Memorial Cemetery.  A luncheon will follow at Aunt Martha’s Bed and Breakfast at 315 Shell Ave SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548.  Please RSVP for the luncheon to jcherniga@aol.com

Nancy’s unconditional love, singing voice, and laughter (as well as her love of ice cream and sweets!) will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
