Mercedes G Layne

Mercedes G Layne, age 81, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She was born April 23, 1938 in Alkarake, Spain to Ramon and Mercedes (Cruz) Guerrero. She was preceded in death by son Charles Layne, Her parents, sisters Josefa Guerrero Cruz, Maria Dolores Guerrero Cruz, Antonia Guerrero Cruz and brother Juan Guerrero Cruz. Mercedes was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Taking care plants and flowers, and always willing to lend s helping hand in any way she was able.  She leaves many cherished memories to her loving Husband of 55 years (November 22, 1964), Charles E Layne; daughters Linda Layne and Michelle Thomas; grandsons Jimmy Croussore and Tucker Thomas; dear brother Francisco Guerrero Cruz and many nieces and nephews. As well as a few who were family of love.  Funeral services will be 11:00 am at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home
