Marcos Noe "Marco" Wallace

February 20, 1963 ~ September 15, 2021 (age 58) 58 Years Old

Tribute

Marcos (Marco) Noe Wallace of Monteverde, Costa Rica, Fairhope AL and Fort Walton Beach FL, passed into eternal life on September 15, 2021 after losing his battle with COVID 19. He was born February 20,1963 in Santa Elena, Costa Rica and was adopted into the family of Kenneth and Stella Wallace.

Marco was raised in the Quaker community of Monteverde, a magical place high in the mountains of Costa Rica. He was raised on a dairy farm where he enjoyed racing dirt bikes through the mountains. His love for racing continued, as he became an avid fan of Nascar and anything FOX Racing related, always cheering on his favorite drivers. Even though he made his home in the states, it was a highlight of his life to return year after year to reconnect with family, friends, and the community. He was looking forward to the day he could spend the time he had, living more of his life back there.

Monteverde is a Quaker community in Costa Rica, began by the Quakers of Fairhope AL, so at age 16, Marco moved back to Fairhope where he has many family members and friends. For 37 years he worked for Regional Ceilings as a construction supervisor, traveling all over the country for work. The last 20 years were spent, mostly doing Target store remodels and it was on one of those remodels he met his wife Kathy. They were blessed with 15 years of life together.

Everyone who knew Marco knew his heart was so big. He had the ability to light up a room and make anyone laugh, and frankly, he thought he was the funniest person ever, which just made you laugh all the more. He had a love for adventure and traveling the world with his family and friends. Marco selflessly helped others, never asking for anything in return. His desire and ability to stay connected with people was awe-inspiring. He was always asking “when are we going to see so and so” or “have you called so and so,” reminding us of the importance of staying connected to family and friends. His love for his family and friends knew no bounds, just as our love was for him. He lived his life to the fullest everyday and was one of the toughest people you’d ever meet.

Marco is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Wallace and Stella Wallace, and sister, Meg Wallace (Richard). He is survived by his loving wife Kathy Wallace, stepmother Phyllis Wallace, Brother Tobi Wallace (Paola), Sister Lidieth (Carlos), and his four stepchildren, Melanie, Andrew, Erin, and Kimberly, his grandchildren, Zoe, Reece, Rayne, Mason, and Mollie, and Great Granddaughter Xiomara, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and In Laws. His loss will be felt by all.
