Madison A Franklin

Madison Alexis (Maddy) Franklin, age 19, of Fort Walton Beach, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018.  Madison was born October 9, 1998 to parents; Kristina Leigh Anderson and Michael Shane Franklin.  She will always be remembered as a loving sister, daughter, granddaughter and friend who touched the lives of so many. Madison was born at Northwest Okaloosa Medical Center in Crestview, Florida.  Her childhood was spent in Niceville, attended Bluewater Bay Elementary, during which she was involved in ballet, twirling, gymnastics & cheerleading.  She attended Ruckel Middle School, excelling academically, she was enrolled in Honors classes & enjoyed chorus, softball, as well as, volunteering at the Niceville Children's Park.  Relocating to Knoxville, TN she attended Hardin Valley Academy, acquiring all Honor class credits in the Health Science Academy.  During high school, she continued to enjoy chorus, softball & volunteered both with her church and helping the less fortunate.  Maddy always had a passion for medicine and children.  She volunteered for 3 years with Faith Promise Church children's ministry & nursery.  She is predeceased by great Grandparents; John & Edna Courtney and Lowery & Evelyn Brown.She is survived by her parents; Kristina Leigh Anderson & Michael Shane Franklin & brother; Austin Cole Lee, grandparents; Lowery (Buddy) & Teresa Brown and Michael & Barbara Franklin, 3 uncles; Jamie McCraney, Kevin & Hunter Franklin, 2 aunts; Meghan Clements & Tammy Craney, many cousins, and numerous other family and hundreds of friends who love her dearly. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1 pm at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.  The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 10 am.  Interment will take place at Heritage Gardens Cemetery in Niceville, FL.  Flowers will be received by the family.  Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL is entrusted with the arrangements.
