Lynette Pollan

Lynette Pollan, age 69, of Destin, FL, passed away on September 20, 2023. Lynette was born on July 31, 1954 to parents, Alvin and Florence Rooney. Lynette was a devoted mother and loving sister who deeply cherished her family. She was raised in Metairie, LA before eventually moving to Brentwood, TN to raise her own family. To Lynette, ‘home’ was wherever she was closest to her loved ones. She loved the beach and recently retired to Destin with her ever-faithful companion, her Yorkie, Sophie. Lynette is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her son, Jason Pollan and his wife Jennifer; daughter, Megan Abbady, and her husband Khalid; grandchildren Alessandra, Ezra, and Preston; and sisters Kathleen Rooney and Michone Lee. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Native American Rights Fund or Freedom Service Dogs, two causes Lynette supported in life. Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Rd, NW, Fort Walton Beach, FL is entrusted with the arrangements.
