Lynda Jane Heilman

Lynda Jane (Dicken) Heilman, 83, of Niceville, Florida, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Lynda was born on March 19, 1938, in Old Fort, Ohio.  She married James Howard Heilman on June 28, 1959.  They had a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Heilman, and a son Jeffrey James (Sue) Heilman.  Lynda was a proud grandmother to Sarah (21), Renee (18), and Alyce (13) Heilman.  Lynda also leaves behind extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Lynda graduated from Old Fort High School in 1956.  She and James enjoyed a 58-year marriage, moving around the country as a U.S. Air Force family.  Lynda embraced her role of wife, mother and grandmother and she was an avid gardener. Her life in Florida included participation in the Bluewater Bay Garden Club, including a role as their membership chairman.

Lynda is preceded in death by her husband James; parents Elizabeth (Hoover) Dicken and Hugh Dicken; and Brother Bruce Dicken.

A private memorial service and interment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola Florida.  A tribute page is available at the Emerald Coast Funeral Home website.
