Lois Brooks Williams

Lois Brooks Williams, age 91, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022.  She was born December 20, 1930, in Camden, NJ to the late Herbert C. Brooks and Martha Stief Brooks.

Lois graduated Palmyra High School in NJ.  She married the love of her life, Joseph M. Williams Jr. on April 9, 1950, in Riverton, NJ.  Joseph served in the Air Force and she spent the next several years moving and raising the family while based in Washington State, Brentwaters and Shepherds Grove, England, George AFB, Pease AFB, Pope AFB and upon Joseph’s retirement relocated back to Cinnaminson, NJ in 1967.  Lois and Joseph made their final move and settled in Fort Walton Beach, FL in 1987.  She enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with family and friends.  Her kind and gentle nature was enjoyed by those around her. She was a loving mother and wife, always stylish and fun-loving.  She will be missed immensely. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Herbert C. Brooks, Jr.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Maj. Joseph M. Williams, Jr (USAF Retired); her children, Barbara Jo (Mark) Taylor, Patricia Williams, all of Fort Walton Beach, and Joseph M. III (Donna) Williams of Cinnaminson, NJ; her grandchildren, Geoffrey (Dallas) Tomlinson, Taryn (Chris) Doyle, Joseph IV (Jen) Williams and Daniel (Britt) Williams; her great-grandchildren, Ava Tomlinson and Jade Williams, and loving nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be Monday, November 28, 2022, at 5:30 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
