Katherine G. Morrison

Katherine “Kat” Genett Morrison, wife of James W. Morrison, Sr. (deceased) passed away on August 20, 2019 at the age of 101.  Katherine was born on April 12, 1918 in Greenwood, South Carolina to S.B. and Essie Lee Butler Whatley.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach.  She was an Assistant Cafeteria Manager at Elliott Point Elementary School.

Katherine is survived by her son James “Bill” William Morrison, Jr. and wife, Patricia of Fort Walton Beach, grandson James Robert Morrison and wife Christine and great grandsons, TJ & Liam of Midway, FL.  She is also survived by sisters, Georgia Martin, Becky Luker (Talmadge) and Ann Cox.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 27, 2019 with visitation at 9:00 AM and services at 10:00 AM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road NW, Fort Walton Beach, with Wes Yates and Jeff Keeman officiating.  Interment will be at Beal Memorial Cemetery immediately following.
