Joyce Vandegrift

Joyce Vandegrift, a beloved member of the Fort Walton Beach community, peacefully passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 65. She was born on March 13, 1958, in the town of Bury St. Edmunds, England. Joyce was a woman of remarkable character, known for her kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

Finding solace in the simple pleasures of life, Joyce enjoyed leisurely walks, immersing herself in the beauty of nature. She loved keeping up with her English television programs, which brought warmth and joy to her heart. Above all, her greatest happiness came from spending cherished moments with her beloved family and friends.

Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving husband, Morris "Pete" Vandegrift, her sons; Damian Bluett and Christopher Vandegrift, her daughter; Stacey Craig, her son-in-law; Joseph Craig, her daughter-in-law; Adele Williams Bluett, her 9 grandchildren, her niece; Carol Keeble, her nephew; Ian Keeble, their families, and her brother; Stanley Bluett. She was preceded in death by her mother, Constance Bluett, her father, Stanley Bluett, and her sisters; Constance "Connie" Purt, Annette Bluett, Pamela Bluett, and Marion Bluett.

A celebration of life will be held to honor Joyce on Thursday, September 21, 2023. The service will take place at the esteemed Emerald Coast Funeral Home, located in the heart of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The compassionate staff of Emerald Coast Funeral Home will provide guidance and support to the family during this difficult time.

Joyce Vandegrift will forever be remembered for her selflessness, her radiant positivity, and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she find eternal peace and may her soul rest in the comforting embrace of the divine.
