John Wilson Baker

John Wilson Baker, age 92 of Destin Fl passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021, in Destin, Florida. John was born to the late Harry and Pauline Baker in Hutchinson, Kansas.  He married Bobbie Faye Sexton on January 28, 1989, in Jackson, MS.  John was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.

He was the founder and owner of MIGEROBE Fine Jewelry. He was a graduate of Hutchinson High School, Hutchinson Junior College, and received a BS degree from Wichita State University.

John loved to play and watch football and baseball. John’s passions were his wife, Bobbie Faye Sexton Baker, his puppies, and his gardening. John enjoyed being with his friends and family.

John is survived by his beloved wife Bobbie Faye Sexton Baker; three sons: John Michael Baker (Mary) of Madison, MS., Ronald K. Baker (Jean) of North Carolina, Bert W. Baker (Tammy) of North Carolina, one daughter, Gea Katherine Graves (Gary) of Brandon, MS, ten grandchildren: Brynnen Quick (Adam), Lacey Lacoste (Donn), Carley Baker, Gary Graves, Jr. (Christian), Dawson Graves (Shelby), Westin Graves, Jacob Baker (Courtney), Chelsea Baker, Austin Baker, Colton Baker, and five great-grandchildren.  John is survived by two brothers-in-law: Leroy Sexton, Jr. (Melia) of Gautier, MS, and Jimmy L. Sexton (Tina) of Ridgeland, MS. John is survived by four nephews: Leroy (Sonny) Sexton, III, Nathan Sexton (Lauren), Jet Sexton, Harley Sexton, and niece Kayli Sexton. He has a special place in his heart for his daughter-in-law Ross Guess Baker.  

John was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Pauline Baker, a sister Roberta Baker and a brother Warren Baker. 

There will be a celebration of life at Sandpiper Cove Community Center in Destin, FL, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 6:00 PM.
