Jesse W Harrell Jr

Jesse Harrell Jr., age 87, passed away Sunday January 6, 2019 in Miramar Beach, FL.  He was born in Williamston, North Carolina to Jesse and Minnie (Roberson) Harrell Sr.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Jesse graduated from North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical and mechanical engineering.  He lived his early years in Roanoke Rapids, NC.  Upon graduation from college, he and Anita moved to Dallas where he worked for Temco Aviation.  Jesse moved to Port Neches, TX to work for BF Goodrich from whom he retired.  During retirement he eventually made his final move to Destin Florida.  Jesse was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Nederland and Destin.  He was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed fishing, hunting, water skiing, and boating in both power and sailing. Jesse leaves cherished memories to his loving wife of 68 years Anita Harrell; sons Rob Harrell and Jesse Harrell IV (Carol); brothers Haywood Harrell (Angie) and Robert Harrell (Barbara); grandchildren Megan Bairstow(Will), Rebecca White (Steven), Hannah Harrell, Jesi Harrell, and Lindsey Harrell; great grandchildren Liam Bairstow and Hazel Guerrero. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, January 10, 2019, with visitation one hour preceding the services, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach Florida.  Interment will follow the services at Destin Memorial Cemetery.
