Jeffrey N. Chapman

Jeffrey N. Chapman, 65, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, peacefully passed away on September 2, 2021, after a battle with Covid-induced pneumonia.

Born in Flint, Michigan to Morris and Kathleen Chapman, Jeff was a devoted and loving son. Following high school graduation, he served in the United States Air Force for many years, allowing him to proudly serve his country while taking great care of his family.

Jeffrey married his wife, Sue West, in 1974 and went on to have two children, Angela and Jason. He was a devoted husband and dedicated father, doing countless things for his family to ensure their well-being and to support them in their endeavors.

After he left the Air Force, Jeff joined the manufacturing world, working for over 20 years at Metric Systems/DRS and eventually joining the team at Micro Systems. He was valued by those who worked closely with him, always turning coworkers into friends.

Jeff was passionate about music, serving the Lord as choir director of his church for many years, playing in symphonic bands, and occasionally composing hymns. He was a strong, loving, Christian man whose friendliness, humor, and warmth was a blessing to all who knew him.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Morris G. Chapman and leaves behind his wife, Sue, his daughter Angela, his son Jason, his son-in-law Timothy, his mother Kathleen, his sister Laurel, his brother Mark, his sister Karen, and all his wonderful brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

Jeff will be remembered on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm CDT, and the memorial service will start at 2:00. Masks required.
