Jane Yvonne Grater

Jane Yvonne Grater, 86, of Mary Esther, Florida, passed away on May 5, 2022.

Jane was born on October 23, 1935, in Pikeville, Kentucky.  Jane was a stay-at-home mom and raised three boys. She volunteered at the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office and was a member of the Emerald Coast Regional Mustang Club.

Jane is survived by her son, Russell Grater; daughter-in-law, Monie Grater of Mary Esther, FL; son, Scott Grater of Mary Esther, FL; Grandchildren, Justen Grater, Shelby Grater, Niki Grater, and Morgan Neeley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ray Lowe Grater; her parents, Edward and Elna Damron; son, Raymond Grater; and grandson, Aaron Carite.

Visitation will be held for family and friends from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Road N.W, Fort Walton Beach, FL  32547-1816.  The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Beth Bateson officiating.  Burial will follow at Jesse Rodgers Cemetery.
