James W. "Jim" Wilson

James W. “Jim” Wilson, age 60, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, went to be with the Lord March 7, 2019 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born to Thomas W. Wilson and Betty Wilson Visser on August 3, 1958 in El Paso, TX.  He lived most of his life in Fort Walton Beach and graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School.  He worked many years for Delchamp’s and Walmart, but he finally settled into lawn care where he really excelled.

He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Wilson; his step-father, Harold R. Visser; and step-brother, Eric Scott Visser. 

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Wilson and grandson, Malachi; his beloved mother, Betty Wilson Visser; sister, Janet Wilson (Jim) Sharmon; brother, Thomas W. (Meredith) Wilson, Jr.; step-sister, Diana Visser (Craig Phillips); nieces, Roselynn Sharmon and Grace Wilson; nephew, Jimmy (Bobbie) Sharman.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the wonderful care and assistance with Jim’s care to Emerald Coast Hospice and Sacred Heart Oncology and a special friend and moral supporter, Sally.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 3 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
