James Frank “Jimmie” Timmie, Jr.

17 February 1935 – 29 June 2020

Jimmie Timmie left this earth on 29 June 2020 leaving behind his wife, Cecile; his three daughters, Libby, Kathy, and Patty; his son Ernest and wife Suzanne; his sister Cicely, his grandchild Christy, and his two great-grandchildren Jordan and Lauren.  Jimmie was born in Chester, SC on 17 February 1935.  As a young boy he acquired his first guitar and pursued his love of singing.  He joined the Air Force serving two tours of duty in Vietnam and met his wife of 58 years.  Even while serving overseas, Jimmie continued his passion of singing by entertaining the troops in various warzones.

After retiring from the Air Force, Cecile and Jimmie purchased the Pampered Pup that they owned until they retired over 40 years later.  While running his business, Jimmie continued to pursue his love of singing by joining and forming several bands playing in different venues around the local area.  It was during this time that he discovered his true passion of entertaining those in Assisted Livings and Nursing Homes.  Jimmie played every week to various care facilities placing smiles on countless faces.   He pursued this passion for over 32 years until the Lord finally took him home.  Jimmie will be missed by many.

A Gravesite service will be held Thursday, July 2, at 10am at Beal Memorial Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions sent to Oakland Baptist Church of Fort Walton Beach, 118 Wright Parkway NW, FWB, FL 32548.
