James Arthur Stringer, age 59, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Pensacola, FL. He was born in Lebanon, Indiana to parents Arthur Stringer and Laura Ball. James had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and for his dog, Wesley. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and doing actictivites such as hiking, canoeing, cookouts and throwing the biggest Halloween parties. He was known to hold the best Fourth of July parties on the Island. James was also a Master Carpenter. He rebuilt boardwalks after the hurricanes came through and built high end cabinetry for some of Destin’s high end condos and apartments. James is predeceased by his wife, Mary Garrette; son, Ronnie Ball; parents, Arthur Stringer and Laura Ball; nephew, Travis Murphy and niece, Nicole LaBracque. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Ball of Arkansas; his sister, Rebecca Stringer; and brothers, James, Willie and Eric Ball; two granddaughters, Bethany and Brooke; his nephews and niece, James Murphy, Justin LaBracque and Danielle Murphy. He always went above and beyond for his friends and anyone else who was in need. He touched the lives of many people who came into contact with him. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 161 Racetrack Rd. NW, Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
