He will always be Sgt Embry to me. He was my First Sargent at the 4485 Test Squadron during my tour as commander. Sgt Embry was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever met. You could trust your life to him. Everyone in the squadron admired Sgt Embry for his leadership and integrity. And that included me most of all! If God is looking for a First Sargent, he has one now!
May he Rest In Peace!

My father Charlie Veal was Jim's best friend. They met in 1946 in Louisville, Ky. The Embry family has always been a part our family. Jim will be missed by all that had the pleasure to love and know him. God is getting a great man.

As the widow to his son James (Married for almost 30 years), I have known Dad to be the Sweetest, Funniest, Kindest and Most Gentle Man & Father-In-Law! I loved his laughter most of all, his stories of his youth, and the way he would get so tickled about something - you could not help but laugh yourself!! What a dear, dear soul and Man of God! Everyone is right about him - he is wonderful in every way and dearly precious to all that love him still - for he is in the hands of God now and we will see him soon!!! I love you Dad!!!!

Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord Is the death of His saints.

If ever their were a saint among men my dear beloved Uncle Jim was one. He was an inspiration to me. I loved him dearly. I have some many sweet memories of him, especially during the 18 years of my life in Northwest Florida. Jim helped me get my first job there at Sunbeam Bakery were he and my Dad worked together for many years. He was and example of a candle set on a hill that all may see the love and mercy of Jesus Christ. I will miss him deeply and offer my deepest sympathy to all that will miss his sweet heart and smile. I offer these words of hope... 1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Uncle Jim,

You will be missed, but not forgotten. You and my Papaw "your brother Bob" we're men of integrity that left an impression on your family. I remember so many things about you both. But your love for God and your fellow man sticks our more than anything. I hope to be half of the man that you both were one day. Thank you, both for all the love and memories and faithfulness to your families.

Love,
Shaun Embry
