James Henry Allen Jr.

James Henry Allen Jr, age 71, passed away Monday, October 22,2018 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.  He was born in 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late James H. Allen Sr. and Isabelle Allen.  James retired as a Master Sergeant after 24 years of service in United States Air Force.  He was Huge Gator fan, as well as a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.   James was known as a king of the grill and loved to show it when cooking out for his family and friends.  He also loved to travel and enjoyed fishing.  He leaves his cherished memories to his loving wife of 46 years Poon Allen; son James C. Allen (Laura); daughters Marilyn Dickinson (Randy) and Sue Melve; his mother Isabelle Allen; brother Don Allen; sister Darlene Mayers; nine grandchildren Carl, Yvette, Billy, Isaac, Katie, Sarah, Emily, Jasmine, and Jamie.  The family will receive friends, Monday, October 29, 2018 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
