Jacqueline Gibson

Jacqueline Louise Gibson, 56, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Destin on Friday, June 17, 2022. She will be remembered for being a devoted wife, daughter, mother and grandmother and while her family and friends are deeply saddened by her death, they are thankful for her life.

She was born in London, England and raised by her mother Christine Gilley and her father Roger Gilley. She moved with her family to the Niceville area when she was a teenager. Following graduation from Niceville High School, she enjoyed a career as a Cosmetologist before becoming a devoted stay at home Mom to her daughter, Kendall Nicole Gibson.

Jackie met her husband, John Mark Gibson, at a Christian Singles Group in her twenties and in their early married life together she enjoyed cooking and entertaining at home as well as boating and travel. She was a fiercely devoted mother and often volunteered at her daughter’s school and supported her endeavors in sports and dance.

Jackie was also an avid reader and in recent years relished the simple pleasures in life.  She loved being at home and found immense comfort being surrounded by her family and pets.

She is survived by her husband, Mark, her daughter, Kendall, and her granddaughter, Lila, along with her parents, Christine and Roger Gilley, Crestview. She is also survived by her sister Lindsey Robidart (Matt), Gillette, Wyoming, her brother Alan Gilley (Andrea), Altamonte Springs, Florida, and numerous other extended family members including nieces, nephews and in-laws.

The Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of the Cross, 103 Jonquil Ave NW, Fort Walton Beach, Florida at 11:00 AM on June 29, 2022, with visitation an hour prior. Interment will immediately follow the service at Brooks Memorial Cemetery, 114 Church Ave SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL.
