Jackie Reeves, age 85, of Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away on June 22, 2017. He was born to Gracie Grimes and Louis Reeves on December 3, 1931 in Clear Springs, FL. Jack retired from the United States Navy in 1971 after serving his country for 20 years, then went on to work and retire as a mechanic for the Buhler Unified School District's "Bus Barn".  He was known to friends as "Chief," "Handsome Jack," and to his family as "Papa." Jackie is predeceased by his mother Gracie Grimes, wife Fern Reeves, daughter Rebecca Reeves, and second wife Sherry Crews-Reeves. He is survived by his children, Jerry (Hutchinson, KS), Darlana (Mary Esther, FL), Jack (Wichita, KS), Jim (Hutchinson, KS), and Kelly (Mary Esther, FL); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service for visitation.

Military honors will take place after Celebration.
