Jack Mason Hupp, Sr., a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and longtime resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on May 27, 2021, surrounded by family. Jack or Rabbit, as he was loving nick-named by his grandchildren, was born in Williamstown, West Virginia to Walter and Olive (Athey) Hupp. He had two siblings, JoAnn and Gene. Jack (Rabbit) attended and graduated from Marietta High School, Marietta, Ohio before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an Air Traffic Controller for 21 years.
Jack married the love of his life, Louise Patricia Wood on March 15, 1952, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville, S.C. Together they traveled the world and built a beautiful life with their three sons, Jack Mason, Jr. (wife, Vicki), Michael and Patrick (wife, Lori). Rabbit was an avid swimmer and an excellent billiard player. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren Michelle, Mark, Tyler, Mason and Breezy. He adored his great-grandchildren Jessica, Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Isabell, Sarah, Mackenzie, Teagan, Keely, Elena, Bailey and Oakley Grace. They truly lit up his heart and life. Jack (Rabbit) was received in Heaven by his parents, siblings and grandsons, Mason and Mark.
Funeral services will take place at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Fort Walton Beach on Tuesday, June 1. Visitation to start at 3:00pm; services to start at 4:00pm. Jack (Rabbit) will be cremated. Burial will be held privately for the family.
