Harold Raymond Moore, 75, of Fort Walton Beach Florida passed away Sunday, March 3rd at Brookdale Senior Living Facility in Fort Walton Beach Florida. Mr. Moore will be laid to rest at the Beale Memorial Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6th 2019.
Harold Moore was born March 16, 1943 in Ocilla Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles W Moore and Dorothy Lott Moore of Brookfield Ga., brothers Carroll W Moore of Conyers Ga., Ronnie Moore of Fort Walton Beach Fl., Donnie Moore of Loganville Ga., and Arnold Moore of Macon Ga. Mr. Moore is survived by one sister Cherrie Ann Musselwhite of Brookfield Ga., Sister-in-laws Linda Moore of Macon Ga., and Yvette Moore of Crestview Fl. Eight nieces and nephews – Allen Musselwhite of Orlando Fl., Debra Sellars and son Bailey of Tifton Ga., Kevin Moore and wife Tricia and daughter Tabatha of Shalimar Fl., Carmen Moore of Fort Walton Beach Fl., Chuck Moore and wife Connie and sons Conner and Cayden of Brunswick Ga., Keri Moore of Columbus Ga., Jeff Moore of Michigan and Amy Moore of Atlanta, Ga.
Mr. Moore was honorably discharged from the U.S. Airforce after serving two years of duty. Mr. Moore returned to college where he attended Martha Berry College in Mount Berry Ga. and subsequently transferred to The University of Georgia in Athens Ga., where he studied advanced mathematics and physics and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences and later received his Masters from Middle College of Georgia. Mr. Moore entered the Civil Service program which led to a long and successful career working for the Unites States Military in a civilian role.
An avid New Orleans Saints football fan and Atlanta Braves baseball fan, Mr. Moore loved rooting for his favorite sports team at many of the local bars and restaurants in the Fort Walton Beach area.
